The short version

Data stored on your device
Metal Weight stores the information needed to reproduce your work locally inside the app’s sandbox. This can include profile and dimension inputs, units, selected material and density, calculation mode, quantity, allowance, price basis, currency, result assumptions, saved calculations, projects, customer and job references, notes, supplier prices, custom materials, coating estimates, and app preferences.
If you add business identity details or choose a logo for Project Estimate PDFs, that information is stored locally for the documents you create. SynapseCore does not operate an account, sync service, or developer cloud for this data.
Calculations and engineering assumptions
Calculations run on the device. Custom profiles use ideal geometric formulas and the density selected or entered by you. Stored results retain their inputs and assumptions so the result can be understood later. Metal Weight does not send dimensions, densities, prices, or results to SynapseCore.
Exports and sharing
Text summaries, Project Estimate PDFs, CSV files, and calculation diagnostics are created on your device. Export begins only when you choose a share or export action. Apple then shows destinations available on your device. After you choose a destination, that destination’s provider controls the transferred copy under its own terms and privacy policy.
The free Project Estimate PDF contains the same material details as the clean Workshop Pro version, plus a visible PREVIEW mark and product attribution. CSV export is designed to prevent cells from being interpreted as spreadsheet formulas.
Support and calculation diagnostics
Contact Support and Report a Calculation Issue prepare information for you to review before sharing. A calculation diagnostic can include app and OS version, device class, selected profile, inputs, units, density, assumptions, and the calculated result. You can edit or remove any part before sending it. Metal Weight does not transmit a diagnostic automatically.
Email sent to support@synapsecore.ai is handled by our email provider only to respond to and document your request. Avoid including customer names, supplier prices, or other confidential information unless necessary. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed for support or legal obligations; you may request deletion.
Purchases
Workshop Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Metal Weight reads Apple-signed product and entitlement information to determine whether Pro is available. SynapseCore does not operate a purchase account, payment processor, or receipt server and does not receive your full payment details.
Collection, analytics, advertising, and tracking
Metal Weight contains no developer-operated backend, user account system, advertising SDK, behavioral analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. SynapseCore does not collect calculations, projects, prices, materials, customer references, business details, exports, diagnostics, usage events, or device identifiers through the app.
The app uses Apple’s local preferences system to remember settings. Its privacy manifest declares no tracking and no developer data collection.
Backups and deletion
Local app data may be included in your normal encrypted device backup according to your Apple backup settings. SynapseCore cannot access or restore that backup.
You can delete saved calculations, projects, supplier prices, and custom materials inside the app. Removing Metal Weight and its app data removes the remaining local database from the device. Files already exported remain with the destination you chose and must be deleted there separately.
Website
This website uses no analytics, advertising trackers, contact forms, or marketing cookies. It is delivered through Firebase Hosting, whose infrastructure may process standard network information such as an IP address to securely deliver the site and prevent abuse.
Changes
If Metal Weight’s data practices change, this page and the App Store privacy answers will be updated before the change ships. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
